Mary's Musings 1 wasn't going to write a column this week. Victor's father died,' and 1 didn't feel like writing. But when 1 told Victor that I wasn't going to do a column, he told me to go ahead. "Tell them how great it is to know we have so many good friends. Tell them not to wait for a funeral to get together with their relatives, " he said. Victor's dad died suddenly of a rup- tured aneurysm. Only the kindness of family and friends helps one through such a horrible shock. It is impossi- ble to express how grateful we are for the flowers and plants that arrived, the memorial donations, the cards, the food and the visits. So many friends stood in line on a hot, rainy, muggy evening, just to give us a hug or squeeze our hands. There was little said, but just know- ing your friends are there, makes you feel so much better. It is unfortunate that it takes such a sad occasion to bring a family together. Aunts, uncles and cousins that we had not seen in many years, as well as some that we had never met, brought their condolences. We are going to miss Tom. We are going to miss his corny jokes and puns. Victor's going to miss his daily visits to the shop when he brought the mail around. Chelsey's going to miss a very special babysitter. yoowant u've got it y ... inmianSSIllial Call 235.1331 F. KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN ALAN MONTAG Barney Strassburger Jr .
