Brigden supercross
Riders from all across the province
competed for 51,000.00 in trophies and
cash prizes at the Brigden ATV
Supercross, Sunday.
The track was tight and tested the
skills of even the best riders. CRC
Productions constructed the track
which consisted of half the race track
and half on the infield.
Promoters of the event, The Moore
Agricultural Society, hosted the event
to entertain just over 1.000 spectators

Friday evening, some of Ironwood's
most ardent golfers braved the
elements to compete in another
action -packed two -ball foursome.
Top performer Marlene Parsons
and her partner John Gray stole the
honours by one stroke over Kim
Pinder and Dave Jackson, who came
in with an 18.
Gail Murray and Wayne Pearce
also shared in the prizes with' third
place for a score of 19.
Gerry Parsons and Yvonne Evans
were particularly delighted to get the
most golf for their money, and cheer-
fully accepted the skunk prize.
Although all the golfers were
especially pleased with their scores.
they .admitted to -playing_ an ab-,-
breviated four -hole game due to inter-
mittent showers, lightning bolts and
the threat of funnel clouds.

Wes Watson of London. a former
member of the Exeter club was the
winner in a mixed bowling tourney at
the local greens, Sunday. Don Leslie
of St. Marys was second with Jack
McDonald of Lucknow in third spot.
Teams participating in addition to
the Exeter club were from Lucknow.
St. Marys, Seaforth. London and
Clinton.
In regular play Thursday night.
Grace Cooper was the overall winner
with two wins, an aggregate of 25 and
a plus of seven. Dean Smith was a
close second with the same first two
scores and a plus of one. Leone Brock
was third at 22 and John Cooper was
fourth with 18.
Stan Roth was the best Saturday
night with two victories, an aggregate
of 23 and plus of eight with Mildred
Pearsall second at 24.
Claybird club
Mosurinjohn recorded a score
of 23% lead the competitors in Sun-
day's trap shoot sponsored by the
claybird gun club.
Perry Maschke was second with a
score of 22 and the balance of the
scores were Russ Brintnell 21, Doug
Moore 19, Mery Batkin and Rusty
Gibson 18-,- Lloyd- Venner 16, Sandy -
Gibson 11 and Raymond Playfoot 10.

The Exeter Royals suffered their

dropped an 8-0 decision in Bryanston.

Bruce Parnell led the attack with
two singles in the inning and Bob Cor-
nish drove in two runs with a two out
single. They added a pair of runs in
the sixth to round out the scoring.
Dan Heywood, John Kernick, Will
Lamb with singles and Paul
McKnight with a triple were the only
Royals to reach base with hits as Den-
nis Carter threw a strong game for
Bryanston.
