Mr. and Mrs. Stan Preszcator at- tended the 25th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Thornton which was held at the Optimist Hall, Stratford. Scott Crawford son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Crawford Exeter, and grand- son of Mrs. Erma Kruger, RR 2 Crediton attended the Central Musical League of Kitchener last Sun- day and won the adjudicator's award for his guitar solo in his class and was also . chosen for the scholarship award. He got 92 marks and receiv- ed a cash award. Stan Preszcator celebrated his bir- thday, Sunday. • Mrs. Stan Preszcator spent last Monday with her mother Mrs. Ed Regele, Seaforth. Zion United Church, Crediton celebrated Communion Sunday, Alter Cloths and a cup were donated in memory of late Agnes Lamport. Eleven adult people were baptized and confirmed. Special music was sung by Mrs. Marlene McQuire. Marlene is the daughter of Sam King. Next Sunday Bob Heywood will be in charge of the service at 10 a.m. Sympathy is extended to the fami- ly of the late William Mountain. Bill was a brother of Mrs. Earl Haist and was well known especially to the children. He was a kind and loving person and I'm sure we'll all miss him. Private family services were held at the Ball Funeral Home, St. Marys.. There was no visitation. Mrs. Jannette Misner, London spent a few days with her mother Mrs. Greta Beaver. Mrs. Jerry Dallier and girls, Kit- chener and Mrs. John Arbo and Daniel, Kirkton spent Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Stan Preszcator. Steve is the son of Wayne and Nancy Pearce, Exeter and brother of Aridreo. UCW meets at Elimville By SHIRLEY COOPER The Elimville United Church Women met at the church for their .June meeting. Mrs. Marion Skinner opened the meeting with a story on "Love". Mrs. Skinner read the scrip- ture and led in prayer. She read a story about women "A cup of sugar." Mrs. Skinner, Mrs. Larry Lynn, Mrs. Elson Lynn, Mrs. Marjorie Dykeman, Mrs. Gilbert Johns, Mrs. John Batten and Miss Ruth Skinner put on a skit "Women". Mrs. Skinner read about several women of the Bible. Mrs. Philip Johns led in the Bible Study. She chose Moses and some of the many women involved in his life. President Mrs. Floyd Cooper open- ed the business part of the meeting. The roll call was answered by "Name a world leader." Donations were made to Christian Education committee, manse board, board of management and Mission and Service:Everyone veryone was remind- ed to give their stamps to Mrs. Ina Johns. Mrs. Ifoward Pym reported on the London Conference. The committee to prepare the Ex- eter fair exhibit is Mrs. Pym, Mrs. Dan Coward and Mrs. Larry Lynn. The committee for Kirkton fair is Mrs. Freeman Horne, Mrs. Cooper and Mrs. Elson Lynn. It is decided to hold a bake sale in the spring. We will he catering to a wedding .luly 20.
