Club of Lucan, Ed Dowdall.

Call for volunteers
to fill committees
Lucan village council will
be asking for volunteers to
serve on a number of council
appointed boards.
When making his inaugural
address reeve Norm Steeper
said ''we are challenged to
change" and later in the
mer:ing suggested giving any
resident the opportunity to
serve their community :on a
number of boards.
These positions would in-
clude being members of the
arena board. planning board.
committee of adjustment,
fence viewers, area fire board
and the Ausable-Bayfield
Conservation Authority.
Appointment's to the
various boards will be made
at a special council meeting to
be held Monday, December
20. .
Anyone\•ishing to be con-
• sidered for any of these posi-
tions should write or call the
clerk's office by the afternoon

Advent says again and
again that life is'lived in a
context of accountability or,
in other words, under judge-
ment. We are called to be
faithful. God 'gave us that
wonderful gift of Himself; His
Son, our Saviour to bring us
out of darkness in to light. Let
us be ready to greet him!
