day evening in the church.
Joyce Preszcator was in

assisted by Ruth Miller, Cora
Wein and Jean Neil. Leila
Finkbeiner played the piano
for the hymn. The business
was opened with the UCW
Purpose and a prayer for
guidance. Roll call was
answered by 25 members.
Minutes were read and
treasurer's report given.
An invitation to attend the
W.I. meeting November 24
was accepted. Ross Daily will
be guest speaker. The
nominating committee gave
their report for the year An-
nual reports are to be in by
next meeting. Everyone is in-
• vited to come and invite a
friend for . the Christmas
meeting December. Along
with the Zehr's tapes there
will be a box for Canada
Packers labels in the church
hall.
• Lunch was served by
Jeanette Lamport. Mary
Draisey, Erma Krueger and
Irene Schlenker.
The Blind canvass in
Crediton collected $224.15.
The canvassers were Note
Smith, Marie Dinney and lna
Browning.

Morlock attended the gradua-
tion of their granddaughter

Wheeler of Brownsburg,
Quebec visited for a few days
with Mr. and Mrs. George
Wheeler, and other relatives
in the vicinity.
The church service was
withdrawn on Sunday due to
the anniversary service at
Kirkton. A large number
from Woodham attended the
service. Rev. Gordon
-Hazelwood a former Kirkton
boy was the guest speaker.
Lunch was served following
the service by the U.C.W. and
a pleasant time was spent
visiting.
Wilfrid Laurier University
and is presently employed
with I.B.M. in Edmonton,
Alberta.
Mrs Dave Cottel recently
attended Convocation Exer-
cises at University of Western
Ontario. Her brother, Wayne
Caldwell received his Masters
Degree in Geography. Mr.
Caldwell is employed with the
Huron County Planning
Board.

and Jean Boerner, of Mio, to
Ken Des Armo, son of Mr. and
Mrs. L. Des Armo, of Upper
Peninsula area in Michigan.
The wedding was held
Saturday evening at 6:30 at
Mio Methodist Church, with
diener and reception follow-
ing at the Mio Community
Centre.

Crediton Institute to attend
their November 24 meeting
was accepted. Mrs. Eben
Weigand and Mrs. Emil
Becker will attend a
workstop at Holmesville in
December "More Cents than
Dollars."
Donations were made to
Family and Children's Ser-
vices, Men's Club Christmas
party for the children, Cystic
Fibrosis and War Memorial
Hospital.
The December meeting will
be a Christmas supper follow-
. ed by entertainment.
Mrs. Margaret Carroll gave
a report.of the London area
convention held at St. Marys
which. she attended as
delegate along with Mrs. Syd
Baker and Mrs. Harvey
Beierling.
Mrs. EbenWeigand read a
poem "Country Boy". She
displayed crafts she had
made and everyone made
bread dough flowers.

Rader attended church Sun-
day at Pastor Zorn's church
in Kitchener. Following the
service he introduced them to
his congregation as old
friends and members of his
first congregation. The day

joyed the slides of Scotland
shown at the Craigwiel Activi-
ty Centre last week by Rev.
and Mrs. Chas. Falconer who
spent five weeks on an ex-
change this past summer.
Mrs. Christena Irving,
Ailsa Craig who was in atten-
dance, was the lucky winner
of the draw for the em-
broidered quilt.
The committee wish to con-
gratulate the winner and to
thank all who supported them
in this project.
The Happy- Gang seniors
will meet November 17 at
noon for a pot luck dinner
followed by euchre.
At the Craigholme Wednes-
day afternoon, lively music
was provided by Doug Lewis
