PLO is organized
to represent owners
What began as a cottage
owners assodiation for
mainstream Grand Bend
residents a month ago ended
up being called the Grand
Bend PLO (Property Lovers
Organization). A , second
meeting of the group was
held at the Village Hall,
Saturday.
Executive members of the
new group will be Shirley
Mitchell, Irene Kennedy,
Bruce Woodley and John
Olzen. Barbara Olzen was
temporary secretary for the
meeting.
General policy of the PLO
is to work together to
upgrade properties, 'to in-
form and support. • and
protect members and their
properties, in Grand Bend.
There are about 25 families
in the membership. Five new
members were welcomed
Saturday night.
Executive members will
take turns attending council
and planning board meetings
so that they may keep the
members informed. They
decided that property
owners with complaints
should submit them in
writing to the executive
members who will in turn
pass them on to council for
consideration and possible
solution.
Norm Lynn made a motion
that a letter be sent to
council with information
about the new group's for-
mation. They would ask
council for an agenda before
council meetings. •
The group plans to meet
once a month. It was
suggested that property
