Motocross results from HuIIy OuIIy
At Hully Gully June 13 the
third round of the Spring
Qua1 fier Series was held.
Over 250 riders competed for
money and trophies. Condi-
tions were excellent and the
track was fast. The results.

Parkhill, Crediton and the
host Kirkton team.

CANOE RACE
The eighth annual Grand
Bend canoe race will be held
Sunday, June 20 on the
Ausabte River as part of
Burgerfest Days in Grand
Bend.
The 13 kilometer event is
sponsored jointly by the'
Ausable-Bayfield Conserva-
tion Authority and the Grand
Bend Chamber of Commerce.
Registration will be from 9
to 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the
Tri -county bridge on the
Greenway road.
Eight events are on the pro-
gram and will begin at 10:30
a.m. with the final for experts
leaving the starting point at
11:30 a.m.
Classes are available for
juniors, amateurs, in-
termediates, couples, junior
bridge, John Savitski Penn-
sylvania, Dave Taff London.
The next Motocross race at
Hully Gully will be held Satur-
day June 19, with the House
League Motocross, and the
next C.MA. race will be held
Sunday June 27.
House league motocross
continued Thursday evening
at Hully Gully with over 60
competitors from across
Western Ontario competing
for points and ribbons.

for Alhambra
The annual Alhambra
weekend was a real success,
with over.. 200 Alhambrans
present, from Cleveland,
Ohio, Detroit, Livonia, Nor-
thville and Dearborn,.
Michigan, Belleville, Wind-
sor, Toronto, London and
Scarboro, Ontario.
Friday evening, June 11th
was 'Get acquainted and
Welcome' night at the Alham-
bra Hall, Grand Bend.
Saturday the annual golf
tournament was held at
Oakwood golf course, and
Frank Dubs, Windsor, won
the trophy for best golfer.
Frank Devet, Arkona, won
the 'Best Algarva golfer' and
Bette Chiccozzi, Cleveland
won the 'Best Sultana' trophy.
The trophies were presented
after Mass. At 4:30 p.m. a
pork luau barbeque took
place at the Hall.
Mass was celebrated by
Rev. Father J. Stortz,
Assumption College, Windsor,
at 7:30 p.m.- for the
Alhambrans.
A dance commenged at 9
p.m. at the Alhambra Hall to
the music of Dwight James.
Sunday a meeting of 'The
Council of Caravans of On-
tario' commenced at 10 a.m.
followed by a lunch,
Farewells were said at 3 p.m.
and senior kayaks and
experts.

The devotional talk was
given by Mrs. Gerald Brint-
nell after which Mrs. Ted -In-
sley and Mrs, Norris Webb
had a skit. Miss Jean
Copeland had the Study Book.
The business part of the
meeting was conducted by
president Mrs. Glenn
Copeland who opened with
a motto followed by the
minutes, roll call, cor-
respondence and collection.
A report was given of the
Huron Perth Presbyterial
Alert. It has decided to give
a donation to the Medical
Electric Program.
A thank you was received
from Goodwill Industries
London. Mrs. Ted Brine gave
a report of ourrecent chicken
barbecue. Mrs. Glenn
Copeland gave a very in-
teresting report of her recent
weekend spent at
Westminster.
