Lenten drama
The regular service at
Thames Road United Church
took the form of a lenten
drama this past Sunday.
The Scripture preceding
the drama was taken from
John f;1-15 which was the
feeding of the five thousand
by Jesus.
The Drama was entitled
"Enjoy Your Bread With
Others". Four members of
the congregation took part in
the drama, and they were;
Pat Hodgert, Joan 'Thrower,
Brent Dawson and Robert
Bray.
These four people
demonstrated how a simple
gathering or getting together
can be changed into a mean-
ingful time of fellowship,
where food and tun are
shared.
The actors shared the con-
tents of a picnic basket. which
prompted one of the actors to
invite the rest to her home
even though the meals were
plain and\ her home was
nothing ' more than.
comfortable.
The others said the surroun-
dings were not the important
aspect as sharing with others
took priority: All accepted the
invitation to come to dinner
and even asked if they could
bring a stranger.
They felt a.good time would
accompany' the dining and
they could witness for Jesus
as well.
The importance of Sharing
food, fellowship, and fun, was
climaxed when the .actors
went through the congrega-
tion passing out and sharing
food that was brought for ex:
actly that purpose, while all
sang the closing hymn, "Let
Us Break Bread Together."

Numerous articles were
presented, and each had the
outer covering stripped and
thrown away before you could
get at what was on the inside.

the demonstration articles, as
it is "what is on the inside that
holiday
