The junior volleyball team
won- only one of its four
genies, Wednesday at a

us," said South Huron coach
Pat Rowe about her team

from last year.
Today the team will try
and break its slump and

The evolution of unions
and organized labour in
Canada was the subject of an
amusing, satirical and
educational mime
production presented to 200
senior history and theatre
arts students at South Huron
District High School,
Monday.
The hour long play,
presented by a touring group
of actors from Toronto Mime
Unlimited, examined labour
activity in Canada from the
turn of the century to the
present.
Through their vivid por-
trayals of working class
people, the actors, with the
assistance of appropriate
sound effects and an ac-
companying slide presen-
tation, communicated the
major events in Canada's
labour history: Coal mine
cave-ins in the mountains.
The Winnipeg,General Strike
in 1919, the formationof the
CCF in 1932 and the
amalgamatiod of the Trades
Labour Congress and the
Canadian Congress of
Labour in 1956 to form the
Canadian Labour Congress.
Conceived by it's director
Ron East, also of Mime
Unlimited, the play made a
tour of Western Canada prior.
to its present Ontario tour.

record dropped to 5-2 when
they were defeated 40-31 in

"We missed 18 foul shots
and that was the difference
right there," said Panther
coach Terry O'Rourke. The
team trailed by only three
points with one minute left,
when the referees made
what O'Rourke felt was a
questionable call that gave
Goderich the momentum:
Derek Hippern had 14
points and Steve
Ferguson eleven in the Loss.
Nonetheless, O'Rourke was
encouraged by the team's
play. "Last time we'played,
they beat` us by thirty
points," said O'Rourke.
Steve Ferguson scored 13
points and Rob Tait and
Steve Merner each had four

as a result", said coach
Keith Crawford.
Friday, the team lost 66-44
to Goderich and dropped
their regular season record
to 4-3. George Pratt . added
nineteen points and Scott
Lovie had fourteen points in
the one-sided contest. -
"We should be able to
finish the rest of the regular
season undefeated if they
play up to their potential,"
said Crawford. The team
