WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO THE FUNERAL?
Block is no longer the only colour appropriately
worn for a visitation, or funeral.
Toddy a visitor may wear colourful clothing which
expresses good taste. Gloves and hats may be worn,
if desired, but are being worn less and Tess. -
The widow or widower will usually wear something
basic or conservative in colour and style.
All persans attending the visitation or funeral•-ho.rld
weor clothing which will contribute to, the at-
mosphere of dignity and respect for -the family and,
other mourners. Some ethnic customs or local mores
may suggest a small black veil, an armband or
something similar.
Your attendance at the funeral or visitation is a sim-
ple, but meaningful way to let the family know that
you shore their loss, that you wish to be considered
as one of those who care and will be around to help
in the future. It's a one-time opportunity and post-
poned condolences become awkward for both par-
