In the 7-4 loss at Goderich,
Sean Whiteford scored all
four Exeter tallies, two on
unassisted efforts. George
Pratt had assists on the other
two and Chris Tiedeman
helped out on one.
Atoms stopped twice
The atoms were stopped 3-
2 in Goderich, Saturday, and
then took a 10-3 drubbing at
the hands of St. Marys in a
contest at the rec centre,
Sunday.
Alan Blommaert and
David O'Connor and David
Dalrymple dented the twine
against St. Marys. O'Connor
and Doug Clark recorded the
assists.
Pee woes split
The pee wees scored a con-
vincing 7-0 win over [Mer-
ton, Wednesday, but were
edged 4-2 in Goderich, Satur-
day.

win with singles going to Jon
O'Connor, Steve Anderson
and Jeff Hannah. Tim Moore
recorded three assists and
David Russell had a pair.

teams met, Goderich won by
a 7-3 count.

Legion mixed dart league to
remain in first place with 42
points.
The Rowdy Ones continue
in second place with a 39
point total followed by the

Shiphunters tied for fourth
spot with 32 points apiece.

Goderich scored the
equalizer with just over a
minute to play when they
pulled their goalie and
scored with an Exeter
player in the penalty box.
Bantams lose two
The Exeter bantams end-
ed up on the losing side in
both their games. Wednes-
day, they were drubbed 6-1
by Itderton and they suffered
a 6-4 loss in Goderich, Satur-
day.
Steve Gould fired the lone
goal against Itderton with
the assists going to Stewart
Chettleburg and Scott Lovle.
Buckeyes win over
College Saints
Three unanswered goals in
tbe second period allowed
the Zurich Buckeyes to gain
a 6-4 victory over Centralia
College Saints in South
Huron hockey league play in
Zurich, Wednesday night.
The Saints will be in Ex-
eter tomorrow night, Thurs-
day to meet the Mohawks
and will be at the Stephen
arena Friday night to meet
the Centralia Marauders.
The Saints took a2-1 first
period lead on two
successful shots by Laurie
Eckhardt on passes from
Greg Ingls, Russ Cross and
Joe Scheuermann.
The lone Zurich first
period score came from the
stick of Jeff O'Brien on a
pass from Ron Rader.
Scott Consitt registered
two second period Buckeye
scores and Mike Clarke
notched a single. Randy
McKinnon picked up two
assists and Steve Bedour,
Ray Weido and Gerald
Weido each helped on one
goal.
The College club came
back with two goals in the
final 20 minutes of play, but,
were unable to get any
closer. Paul Johnston fired
the first goal on a three-way
effort with Scheurermann
and Murray Iliman and set
up a scoring play for Ted
Vandenbogaard.
The final Zurich score was
netted by Mike Clarke as he
converted a pass from Ran-
dy McKinnon.
Lucan Cup starts
Friday evening
The second annual Lucan
Cup hockey tournament goes
this weekend at the Lucan
arena with 16 top teams from
Ontario and Michigan
competing in no body contact
competition.
The first round gets un-
derway Friday night at 7
p.m. with continuous action
Saturday from 8 a.m. to
midnight. Play gets un-
derway again at 8 a.m.
Sunday with the "B" final at
7 p.m. and the "A" cham-
pionship game going at 8:30
p.m.
Black Creek from
Markham will be back to
defend their "A" cham-
pionship. The Lucan Cup and
a prize of $1,000 goes to the
"A" winner and the "B"
champion receives the
village of Lucan trophy and
$500. In addition all finalists
will receive medals.

set at Varna
The Western Ontario
Snowmobile Show conies to
Huron County this year. The
Snow Show, sponsored by
Yamaha Motor Canada Ltd.,
will be hosted by Hully Gully
Snowmobile Club and will
take place at the Recreation
Complex near Varna.
The show starts Friday,
December 4 at 6 p.m. and
continues through to Sunday.
Included in the itinerary
will be displays by the OFSC
and the PTBA representing
the trails and clubs across
the province; a snowmobile
theatre featuring continuous
movies on safety, trail
riding and special race
features on Eagle River and
the Kawartha Cup.
Holiday Snow Country sec-
tion will be presented by
PTO resorts from the north
who will be offering special
weekend packages; clinics
on performance and
maintenance will be
offered Saturday and Sunday
at 2 p.m.; driver education,
fantastic door prizes, fac-
tory reps, and the list goes
on.

Irish win only once
The Lucan Irish could
come up with only one vic-
tory in three attempts this
week in the Ontario Hockey
Association Junior "D"
western division.
The only victory came on
home ice Wednesday night
as they downed the Seaforth
Centenairres 5-2. Friday in
Exeter they lost 5-3 to the
Hawks and Sunday in Thed-
ford it was 512 loss to the
Browns.
In action this week, the
Irish were in Mitchell last
night, Tuesday, they will be
at home to the Exeter
Hawks tonight, Wednesday
and travel to Belmont Satur-
day night to take on the
provincial champion Bel-
mont Bombers.
Against Seaforth, Wednes-
day, the Irish outshot their
opponents 45 to 28 with the
most shots coming in a se-
cond period outburst that
produced four goals.
John Medd was on the fir-
ing end of the first two
Lucan goals. Captain Paul
Wraith assisted on both
scores and Steve Thompson
helped on one goal.
Geoff Edwards scored two
goals in a space of 23
seconds near the end of the
second 20 minutes of play.
The first goal was unassisted
with Doug Latta and Dave
Paton adding assists on the
second.
The final Lucan goal in the
third period came on a solo
dash by Don Liley. John
Bicknell checked in with
both Seaforth goals on power
plays.
In Thedford Sunday,
referee Charlie Roach was
busy handing out a total of 43
penalties with 24 going to the
hometown Browns.
John Medd registered the
first Lucan goal at 14.34 of
the first period on a pass
from Dave Egan and Ron
Glenn connected in the third
period on a play started by
Keith Hartwick.
