to plan the annual Harvest
dance.

meeting, with 11 members
and one guest present.
The theme of
Thanksgiving was followed,
Marguerite Greenlee read a
Thanksgiving prayer to open
the meeting and all repeated
the general Thanksgiving
prayer.
Margaret Carroll read an
article from the "Living
Message" entitled "Loaf of
Bread", Joan Greenlee read
the Meditation followed by
the Scripture taken from 1st
Corinthians 13-1-13 by
Marguerite Greenlee.
Reports were given by
secretary Mary Jefferies
and treasurer Mary Davis.
Plans were made for 2 tables
of home baking and quilt
ticket sale tables at the
Lucan community craft fair
November 14.
Plans were made for a
Hallowe'en party for the
Sunday School pupils and a
dessert euchre to be held
November 18 in the Parish
hall at St. Patrick's church.
The mystery prize donated
by Vicky Gee was won by
Margaret Carroll, the
meeting closed with prayer
and the hostess served
refreshments and a social
hour followed. The
November meeting is
planned for November 12 at
the home of Hazel Eaton.

Hospital Auxiliary, and 825
for Christmas Gift for
Foster Child, and 8500 to
Board of Managers of
Church.
It was also decided to
cater to the Optimist ban-
quet. November 9 at Kirkton
Woodham Community Cen-
tre. and to the Co-op banquet
at the South Huron Rec Cen-
tre. November 20.
Members will put the cook
books together nn Thursday
evening October 15 at 7:90
p.m. in the church base-
ment. An invitation was read
from Elimville to go to
their meeting October 28.

Thanksgiving Church service
Sunday the church was
tastefully decorated with
horns of plenty with
fruit and vegetables which
were done by the Young
People's Class and their
teacher Mrs. Murray Daw-
son. The children's hymn
was Thank You Lord, and
Mr. Thrower told the
children a story about being
thankful by using a puppet.
The choir rendered an
anthem. The message was
entitled "Think and Thank".
On the way into church each
person was given an
envelope with something in
it. In the prayer each
envelope was opened which
had five kernels of corn in it.

ladies of the United Church
Women met in the Sunday
School rooms. In charge of
devotions were Joyce
Preszcator, Mary Kenney
and Bernice Fritz. Joyce
related about the children
she had taught basing her
theme on the "Disabled"
Mrs. Earl Neil opened the
business portion with prayer
roll call was taken and
various reports were given.
Next month's roll call is, to
bring a homemade_ (if
possible) Christmas 'tree
decoration. These are to be
used on the trees in the
church.
After a few business
reports, lunch was served by
Marie Fydenchuk, Bernice
Fritz and Irene
Schlenker.Evelyn Pickering
thanked the programme and
lunch committee.
