Require leaders
for Girl Guides
Exeter and area Girl
Guides wish to thank
everyone for their excellent
financial help to area Brow-
nies. Guides and Pathfinders
in the past year. Everyone
seems to have made an ex-
tra special effort to
patronize the fund raising
activities of the girls at
fairs, bake sales, and es-
pecially cookie sales.
Last year, over 200 girls
were involved with Guiding
in Exeter. Huron Park,
Kirkton and Zurich. This
year it looks like even more
girls wish to join in on the
fun and activities of Guiding.
Certainly all girls benefit
from this involvement.
The greatest need this
year is not financial, its the
need for dedicated people to
take on leadership in all the
units. There is always a
great turnover each year in
volunteer help as people are
moving, or pressed for time
to spend with the girls.
The rewards are only see-
ing these girls grow in the
program and accept new
challenges at home, in the
community. and the world
around her. The only re-
quirement is a true interest
in working w•ittiYOunggirls.
All training is taught to
new leaders. Ladies who
have themselves been in the
Guiding program in their
youth. will still find the
program very similar.
Girls still enjoy the same
activities such as games,
hiking. camping. and lear-
ning new skills in the
fellowship that Girl Guides
provides with other girls
their age and with their
adult leaders.
Age groups are as follows:
Brownies. ages 6 to 9 yrs;

Pathfinders. ages 12-15 yrs.

"The Possibility that Man

topic dealt with by Rev.
Crowe in his sermon in the
United Church on Sunday
morning and his biblical
reference was. — "He that

The church was un-
