Seniors enjoy play
Members and friends of
the Sunshine and Busy
Buddies craft groups en-
joyed their visit to the
Country Play House Thur-
sdsav afternoon to see the
"Music Man".
One couple were par-
ticularly interested, J. Alex
and Eva Young as their
grandson, Stephen Coates,
played the part of the little
boy Linus Dunlop. While he
had no speaking lines,he
threw himself wholehear-
tedly into the activities and
sang lustily.
The A.C.W. of Brinsley St.
Marys church catered for a
lovely roast beef dinner for
the group following the
matinee.
Those members who did
not attend numbering 19 plus
a friend called in to make up
the fifth table, played euchre
and enjoyed cake and ice
cream provided by Milurea
and Lawrence Hirtzel.
Charlotte Barker con-
vened the euchre and the
prizes were provided by Lon
Phillips.

Revival Centre
Auxiliary meets
Wednesday evening the
Women's Auxiliary held
their monthly meeting in the
Fellowship Hall at Lucan
Revival Centre. June Henry
opened the meeting leading
in chorus singing. Rev. Ray
Brewster spoke on different
ways the W.A. can be of
service.
Ladies have to be careful
that their work in the church
does not become just a
burden. Instead happy
people find a blessing in
serving. Luke 6:38 tells us
not to condemn, or judge, but
to give, of ourselves in
mercy and kindness, as well
as money.
The principal is whatever
we give we enjoy giving in
love and we will be blessed in
return. Our order of service
is first to God, then to other
Christians and then to the
world. The meeting closed
with lunch being served.
Sunday
William Davies conducted
the Sunday morning service.
Doug Bukler and Martha
Sullivan sang "How Did You
Love Me Jesus'?."
Mr. Davis spokefrom Acts
9:6 saying God calls us by
name, making salvation a
very personal thing. Why

wasn't Paul saved sooner?
Why did Paul do the things
he did? In Acts 26 Paul gives
his testimony. Paul did all
the strict correct moral
traditional things zealously
according to his upbringing.
But they were self
righteousness, denying sin
in his life, and his need of a
personal relationship with
God. Because he disagreed
with the Christians he
persecuted them. Then Jesus
spoke to him forcefully and
Paul obeyed Him.
Gary Schlegel opened the
evening service leading the
singing. William Davis spoke
on the mark of Christ. Many
people try to identify with an
ideal a religion, or clothing.
Gal 2:20 tells us to identify
with Christ, we must be
dead to our old sinful lives.
All of our fears, failures.

Anglican church
The morning service at
Holy Trinity Anglican
Church took the order of a
Contemporary Eucharist
and a Rally Sunday. Special
guests were Marg and Dave
Hinds who are very gifted
musicians and people of God.
Their Ministry of Music and
Word is a gift which they
joyously share. The Hind's
are from Chatham.
Worshippers were greeted
by Don Ankers.
The message brought by
Dave Hinds was based on the
reading from Acts 2:3647.
The meaning of Church is the
"called out ones." As the
Church of Jesus Christ we
are "the called out ones" to
present Him to the world.
He gave us what can be
called God's Model of His
Church having five points of
identification. 1- Must have
Jesus as the central focus, 2-
A people redeemed and not
simply religious, 3- A power
unto ministry, 4- A related
people and 5- An ecumenical
Spirit. Through Jesus Christ,
we are all called to he the
People of God, each with
separate gifts, but called
together to spread the good
news.

are allowing God's Spirit to
replace the selfishness and
discard in their hearts with
the qualities He gives: love,
joy, peace, patience, kind-
ness, goodness, faithfulness
humanity and self control.
These people are blessed
because their eyes are thus
fitted to see God in the sense
of knowing Him and enjoying
His daily presence. Jesus
told Nicodemus that only
through the new birth could
he see the kingdom of God.
Likewise today,the miracle
of the New Birth makes
possible a pure heart. The
seed of new Life implanted
at the time when a person
first gives his life to Christ
will grow and mature. In
time it will produce in the
Christian's life the fruit of
the Spirit which is the out-
ward sign of a pureheart.
