She was honoured by her family at a dinner Sunday at the Stephen Township hall in Crediton. HUGH MORtNZ More than 50 attended the annual community picnic held at the Shipka Communi- ty Centre. Sports were in charge of . Ann Russell. Children's games were: running races, three legged race, bubble gum blow, and sack race. Winners included Jeff Sweitzer, Alex Russell, Jeannette Kaak, Sandra Hullebusch, Tracey Dietrich. Nancy Volk, and Joey Kaak. A couples' game of wrap- ping a roll of toilet tissue around the husband, was won by Tom and Rosanne Russell. A three team relay game for all ages was enjoyed by filling a pop bottle from a water soaked sponge. Barbecued hot dogs, pie and ice cream were served for lunch with kool aid and coffee. A bit of excitement oc- curred at the annual picnic when a local glider flew over the Community centre and landed unexpectedly in the gram field across the road. The glider pilot was not in- jured. Vincent reunion The annual Vincent reu- nion was held at the home of Harold and Lucille Vincent with about 30 attending. President. Special prizes awarded were to oldest lady atten- ding: Mrs. Katie Vincent, Grand Bend; oldest man attending: Percy Vincent, Clinton. Each family participates by providing a sport activity or game. Guessing number of but- tons in a jar, and what was in surprise package, were both won by Gerald Mason. Guessing number of macaroni in a jar was won by Mike Vincent. A childrens race with a balloon tied to ankle was won by Lori Vincent. Ladies ring toss won by Verna Zirk, Zurich. Men's ring toss won by Harold Vincent, of Belgrave. Children's ring toss won by Ruth Martin, Crediton. Guests attended from Ex- eter. Grand Bend, Zurich, Clinton, Belgrave and Dashwood. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Dow have returned home from a holiday in Scotland and England. Mr. and Mrs. Ross McPhail are holidaying with Mr. and Mrs. Ken Morrison, Edmonton. Ann, left, graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Fbrestry from Lakehead University and is currently employed with the Ministry of Natural Resources in Dryden. Brenda, received a Bachelor of Arts in French and Political Science from Wilfrid Laurier University and is presently completing the Business Administration Diploma course offered at the same university.
