Leader Mrs. De Weerd assisted by Leslie Harrison showed the seniors how to construct their pillow -while the Juniors put the binding on their coasters. In the business, a discussion was held about a skit to be presented at achievement day which is November 25 at Parkhill. Personals Sandy Thompson, Joe and Jack Conlin spent, several days last, week in the Canadian West near Leth- bridge, Alberta. Mr.& Mrs.Donald Oatman, Hamilton were Saturday visitors with Mr.&Mrs.Dave Kestle. Mr. & Mrs. Allan Hill were hosts at a birthday party on Sunday in honour of their daughter, Nancy St. Pierre of Lucan and son-in-law Bill McHugh of Nairn held at the Crock 'N' Block in London. Zion By MRS THOMAS HERN The sixth meeting of Elimville 1 4-H homemaking club was held at the home of Mrs. Harry Hern. This meeting was a party and ''each• member brought a friend. Barb Skinner the vice- president opened the meeting with the 4-H pledge. Several games were played. A delicious meal of pizza, lasagna, pink velvet and maple treasure was enjoyed } by all. Mellecke and Mrs. Bill Becker reported on the LWML District Convention held in Kitchener. The following officers were elected. President, Mrs. Delmar Miller; vice- president, Mrs. Mellecke;' treasurer, Mrs. Freida Keller; Christian Growth Chairman, Mrs. Bill Becker. Mrs. Arnold Becker presented Mrs. Albert Miller with a gift. on behalf of the Society. Best wishes and heartfelt prayers go with her as she and Albert make their home in Kitchener. A social time followed. The theme was "A study of the Psalms" taken from a bible study caked "Learning to Pray from the Psalms". - A 4-H hallowe'en The sixth meeting of Dashwood Club 2 4-H girls was held Tuesday as a Hallowe'en party. Fifteen members and the two leaders were present. The club had a pot luck supper followed by an impromptu skit performed by some members. The books and Achievement Day were dis- cu.
