successful auction on Saturday.
Ruth and Neil Trevithick were
home with their parents on the

Laverne Allison is a patient in
St. Joseph's Ifospital, their

daughter Nancy was staying with
Mrs. Allison last week.
A family shower was held at
the home of Bev. Prest, Cen-
tralia. for. Brian Prest, Friday
evening.
Don Taylor who has been in St.
Joseph's. Hospital is able to be
home again.

April 21 al the Parish Hall, St.
Patrick's, Saintsbury for Wendy
Elston, youngest daughter of Mr.
& Mrs. Allan Elston, Centralia.
Cousins Mrs. Jim Barker, Mrs.
Earl Greenlee, Mrs. Hugh Davis
and Mrs. Bob Tindall were joint
hostess assisted by Mrs.Bob
Blair, Mrs.Sam Skinner and
Mrs.Elmer Powe of Centralia.
Mrs. Bob Tindall welcomed the
guests and called Mrs. Judy
Mills, Centralia for a reading.
She gave as the reading a
preview of the wedding of the
bride.
This was followed by an ad-
dress in verse, read by Mrs. Hugh
Davis. composed by her daughter

During ther service, Rev.
Beaton announced that six copies
of the New Hymn Book had been
presented to the church by Mrs.
Joseph Creech ( the former
Mildred Hicks) of St. Marys in
memory of grandparents Mr. &
Mrs. John Essery, her parents,
the late Mr. & Mrs. Byron Hicks,
and her brother Flt. Lt. Clifford,
Hicks, killed in air operations.
The sixth book was in ap-
preciation of the services of the
Sunday School Superintendent
and teachers during her at-
tendance at Sunday School.
The new guest book for the
church was presented by Mr. &
Mrs. W. R. Essery in memory of
Bill's parents Mr. & Mrs. Alvin
Essery.
Senior citizens
There was a good attendance
on Monday for the Senior Citizens
pot luck dinner followed by an
afternoon of crokinole and cards.
The seniors provided the first
course and the dessert was
supplied by the UCW.
Euchre party
Sir. & Mrs. Earl Dixon, Mr. &
Mrs. Larry Cronyn were in
charge of the euchre party on
Monday night with 11 tables in
play.
