the service of worship in Hensall
United Church Sunday morning.
Under the direction of Mrs.
Turkheim, the choir sang the
anthem "I have decided to follow
Jesus".
Anglican church notes
Rev. G.A. Anderson was in
charge of the service at St. Pauls
Anglican Church. The text of the
sermon was from 1I Timothy,
Chapter 4-11. The flowers were in
memory, of Mrs. Margaret
Aldwinkle placed by the family.

Hensall and area deaths
Lloyd Thompson of Hensall
passed away suddenly on April
22, in his 54th year.
He is survived by his wife, the
former Helen Parsons and one
daughter, Elizabeth, two
brothers, Elgin of RR 3, Kippen,
Sidney of Stratford, and one
sister Mrs. Edna Manson of
London.
A private funeral service was
held April 24 from the Bonthron
Funeral Chapel in Hensall with
Rev. Don Beck officiating.
Interment in Bayfield Cemetery.
Pallbearers were George
Clifton, Jack Peck, Ken
McCowan, Lorne Thompson,
Bert Thompson and Laird
Finalyson.
MRS. ELIZABETHO'BRIEN
Mrs. Elizabeth Phyllis O'Brien
passed away at the Queensway
Nursing Home, Hensall on
Friday, April 25 in her ninety-
second year. The wife of the late
Charles O'Brien, the deceased
was a native of this area and
lived on No. 4 highway, north of
Hensall, for several years.
Surviving -are daughters Mrs.
Joe (Margaret) Lostell of Kip -
pen, Mrs. Alma Lostell and Mrs.
Robina McLeod of London; Mrs.
Ben (Nettie) Tinney, Mrs.
Wilmer Dalrymple of Exeter;
twenty-three grandchildren;
fifty-five great grandchildren;
one great great granddaughter.
Funeral service was held on Rev. W. D. Jarvis. Interment was
Monday, April 28 conducted by in Exeter Cemetery.

was elected Grand Superin-
tendent of Huron District No. 6 at
Ross Kercher
the 117th Convocation of Grand
Chapter of the Royal Arch
Masons of Canada in • the
Priovince of Ontario in Ottawa,
Saturday.
He is a past First Principal of
Malloch Chapter RAM No. 66.
Seaforth and past master of
Huron Lodge AF&AM 224.
Hensall.
He suceeds Angus McArthur of
Kincardine.
The Rev. Mr. Stevens had
charge of the services and in-
terment was in Hensall Union
Cemetery.
Mrs. Dick Cornish of Goderich
visited with Robert Thomson on
Thursday last.
Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Cooper en-
tertained at a family dinner on
Sunday in honour of Mr. & Mrs. J.
R. Cooper who are celebrating
their twenty-fifth wedding an-
niversary this week.
The funeral of the late Herbert
Whiteman of Toronto and a
former resident of Kippen was
held from the Bonthron Westlake
Funeral home on Monday.
He is survived by one daughter
May and a sister Miss Mabel
Whiteman of Seaforth.
