Rev. Harold Dobson opened the meeting by showing a 50th an- niversary film of The United Church bf Canada in action during that period. A short "In Memoriam" ser- vice was held remembering the late Mrs. Elton Curts, Mrs. Elsie Volk, Irwin Luther and Mrs. Priscilla Eagleson who have since the last passed away meeting. Reports were heard from all the organizations of the church, all reporting an increase in financial givings during the year. Herbert Halton and Russel \Iellin were re-elected to the Session and Jack Eagleson, Manuel Curts. George Dixon and Broden Taylor to the Committee of Stewards. The centennial committee reported on their proposed ac- tivities for the ensuing year which were approved by the congregation. Some of these activities are the preparation of a book of history; special services in June and October with former ministers participating; a display of pictures and other items of interest; a day of fun and fellowship catering to the youth; and an evening program promoting the talents of the membership. in April. Due to the fact that Mr. Dobson will be severing his relationship here, the end of June, a pastoral relations committee was ap- pointed. namely. Stuart Bullock, Lawrence Curts, Mrs. Inez Eagleson and Mrs. Gerald Isaac. The congregation ex- pressed their appreciation to Mr. & Mrs. Dobson for their leadership here during the past six years. Persona Is Mrs. Thomson, Newfoundland, who has been visiting with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Bill Clarke, is a patient in South Huron Hospital, Exeter. Mrs. Bruce Steeper is a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital. London, for a few days this week. Mr. & Mrs. Clarence Romphf and Scott, Ipperwash, were Saturday visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Fred Bullock and family. Mr. & Mrs. Cliff Hallam and children and Garry Elliott, Clinton, were Sunday visitors with Mr. & Mrs. George Gollen. Mr. & Mrs. Norman Romphf and Gary, and Mr. & Mrs. Ken McLinchey were among those from this community who at- tended the hockey games at Harrow on the weekend. The three area boys' teams came home happy, having won all their games there. Mr. & Mrs. Milton Pollock visited on Sunday with Mr. & Mrs. Ross Pollock and family in Ridgetown.
