Real meaning
of Lord's Prayer
Units I and 2 of the Exeter UCW
held their regular meeting
Thursday afternoon, January 9.
The topic of the meeting was the
real meaning of the Lord's
Prayer and was taken by Mrs. H.
Murray.
She dealt with the part of the
prayer from Our Father to "Thy
will be done on earth as it is in
heaven" and pointed out that we
can all say the prayer but can we
really live it. World peace is said
to start in the Christian Home but
the individual in that home must
put Christ first in her heart and
life.
The Bible reading from Mat-
thew was taken by Mrs. Wm.
Thompson. Miss Ann Brodie
played a piano selection.
The meeting was followed by a
social hour.
The day our first child was born,
my husband was ecstatic — and
his concern for me was truly
tender. Five years later, after the
birth of our fourth son, he was
somewhat more casual. He
walked into my hospital room
after work and, seeing me for the
first time since delivery, he
slumped into the chair next to my
bed and exclaimed, "Whew!
What a day I've had!"
