Recent visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Maurice Desjardine, Lee, Harvey and Carleen at Huron Park were Mrs. Mabel Desjar- dine, Earl Stebbins, Mrs. Trellis Little, of Dashwood, Lesa Dugas of Grand Bend and Colleen Little of Exeter. Harvey Desjardine, grandson of Mrs. Mabel Desjardine, who is with the Canadian Armed For- ces, just returned to Canada after several months service in Cyprus and Germany. He spent a month visiting with his parents and other relatives and is now stationed in Edmonton, Alberta. Mrs. Florenek Hendrick of Exeter spent a couple days last week with her brother and sister- in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Ed Turnbull. Real meaning of Lord's Prayer Units I and 2 of the Exeter UCW held their regular meeting Thursday afternoon, January 9. The topic of the meeting was the real meaning of the Lord's Prayer and was taken by Mrs. H. Murray. She dealt with the part of the prayer from Our Father to "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven" and pointed out that we can all say the prayer but can we really live it. World peace is said to start in the Christian Home but the individual in that home must put Christ first in her heart and life. The Bible reading from Mat- thew was taken by Mrs. Wm. Thompson. Miss Ann Brodie played a piano selection. The meeting was followed by a social hour. The day our first child was born, my husband was ecstatic — and his concern for me was truly tender. Five years later, after the birth of our fourth son, he was somewhat more casual. He walked into my hospital room after work and, seeing me for the first time since delivery, he slumped into the chair next to my bed and exclaimed, "Whew! What a day I've had!" Keep 'Em Dryer ...
