Lucan`s Jamie Pearce made it a 3-
2 game when he scored from Glenn
Marshall at 7:41 of the second.
But -Exeter got that back when
Larry Lewis scored the final goal of
the game for the Hawks, from Jeff
Anscros, at 14:39 of the second. It
was another power -play goal.
Lucan made things interesting at
8:07 of the third period when Colin
Telford scored from Jeff Hirtzell and
Brian Schuyler, but they couldn't
get the tying goal past Hawk goalie
Todd Campbell.
The win was .sweet revenge for
the Hawks who were beaten 8-2 by
Lucan in the season opener for both
team on October 7 at the South Hu-
ron-Rec Centre. -
EXETER 4 MITCHELL 3
This was a very even match
throughout with both teams having
good scoring chances all night. -
'Jim Lewis opened the scoring
again against Mitchell at 13:34 of
the first period after being set up by
Brent Nairn and Derek Shackleton.
• It stayed that way until Jeff Tay-
lor ticd the game for Mitchell, at
10:57 of the second period.

Morgan scored his second of thc
game, in the second period, with
Bill Connor getting the only assist.

And in the last penod, Andy Gla-
vin scored the fourth goal, from
Ken Dcsjardinc, at 8:38 of thc peri-
od.
Tommy Connor stopped three
breakaways in the last minute of
play to earn his second shutout of
the season.

EXETER - The Exeter Bantam
Lincoln Hawks showed strong im-
provement Saturday against Park3.

Exeter scored at :
period by Steve Campbell and good
passing play from Mark Lynn and
Kevin Johns.
The second goal was by Mark
Lynn assisted by Brent Jesney. The
third goal was scored by Steve
Campbell on breakaway with two
Hawk players serving penalties at
the time. Exeter scored three times
in the third period.
Peter Gibson assisted by Tony
Armstrong and Tony Armstrong
again a 12:30 of third period from
Brent Jesney. Mike Clay scored the
final goal unassisted. Very good ef-
fon on everyone's part.
Mitchell took a brief 2-1 at 14:52
of the second but Shackleton tied
the:game at 2-2. less than a minute
later,. with Jim Lewis picking up
the Ione assist. • -
Exeter then took the lead for good
on Larry Lewis' unassisted power-
play goal with 1:12 left in the mid-
dle frame. - •
Mitchell's Mike Carter. and Dean
Smith were given penalties for us-
ing illegal equipment and unsports-
manlike conduct respectively at the
end of the second period and. while
leaving the ice, Mitchell coach Bob
Ward swore at referee Claude Davy
and was given a game misconduct,
so manager David Packham took
over the reigns in the final period.
Exeter tookadvantage of the two-
man power play when Dan Nairn
scored. at 1:11 of- the:third; from
Fr nk Wultcrkens and Brent Nairn,
m' 'ng it 4-2 contest. -
M chell got back to within one
goal when Bo Chaussc scored at
9: of the third but couldn't get
any closer.
The Hawks will try and stay on
the winning track Friday when the
Irish are back at the:SHRC Friday
night.for an 8:30 game. Sunday af-
temoon the Hawks will be. in Sea -
forth for a 2 p.m. matinee.
The Hawks' annual Poor Boy
Luncheon will be held Saturday De-
cember 10 at the South Huron Rec
Centre from 11 a.m. to 3 p,m.

in 1989.
At a gathering held in Toronto on March 19 and 20, 1914, 300 leaders of
agricultural groups from across the province established United Farmers
Co-operative Company, Ltd. as the business arm of the United Farmers
of Ontario agrarian movement, which by providing farm inputs and
marketing services would Improve economic conditions for Ontario
farmers. The founding of UFCC and UFO sparked the development of
buying clubs end co-ops in many communities, and over a number of
years, our present C0 -OP system evolved. In 1948, UFCC was
re -organized as United Co-operatives of Ontario, and to -day, UCO
and its member oaoperative$ carry on serving farmers' supply and
marketing needs.
