Hall Thursday, Nov. 24, 1988. Our
president Jim. Davis opened the
meting with O' Canada played by
Mary Kooy.
The birthdays for this week were:
Lil Dobbs, Chris Hesse! and Pat
Davis whose birthday. was today.
Happy Birthday was sung.
A letter was received from the
Salvation Army asking for a dona-
tion. ?clary Davis made a motion we
send S25.
Hazel Cunningham asked the
members to have their money for
the Christmas dinner in to her by
December 8th. The dinner is Dec.
15 at 12:30.
Audrey Hudgins reported we were
happy with the: amount made at the
craft sale by the Busy Buddies:
Alarian Noels thanked those who
visited, sent cards and gifts on the
occasion -of their fiftieth wedding
anniversary.
Elsie Gipson .suggested we all.
take flu shots to prevent sickness
this winter.
Lunch committee for next week
are: Audrey Hodgins, Greta Gibson
and Ed Armstrong.
Jim Davis read a humorous poem
"A Shady Deal•', much enjoyed by
all.
The meeting adjourned and euchre

.Pieter Schinkleshock, from
Psalm 100, and Hebrews 9:1-9, dis-
cussed worshipping God and com-
ing into His presence. Psalm 100
says to praise the Lord joyfully
loudly. Mr. Schinkleshock re-
viewed Psalms 120.10 134; which
the Jews sang as they walked up to
the house of the Lord in praise. Ile
then told of how the Jewish Taber-
nacle typified worship.
Sunday evening Dan Wucrch
played the piano while ".1r. Verge
•Bende led the song service. Rev.
Roger Mason ministered from
Psalm 100. From seven Hebrew
words, llallcl, Yaddeh, Barak, Tcl-
hilla, Zaniar, Tobah, and Shihbok,
he explained from the scriptures the
meaning of them, to praise, bless,
to thank, to praise through musical
instruments, and to sing praises to
God. Praise and worship to God
conics from a healthy happy rela-
tionship with God.
Upcoming events - Sunday De-
cember 4 at 7 p.m., the Annual
Christmas Concert is to be given at
Lucan Revival Centre. All wel-
come.
