WILLIAM ROHDE THAMES ROAD - The Novem- ber meeting of the United Church Women was held on Monday eve- ning with 29 ladies present. Margaret Stewart welcomed eve- ryone and gave two readings on "Remembering". We sang "0 God Our Help". Kay Cunnington read the Scripture Psalm 10. Margaret McCarter led in prayer. Marion Cann read a poem "Three Things": The offering was received by Mar- ion Cann and -Kay Cunnington with prayer by Margaret Stewart. A poem "I Remember" by Marga- ret McCarter. The Poppy the sym- bol of remembrance by Margaret Stewart 'and also "In Flanders Fields" and "What Is The Real Meaning of Remembrance?" We sang "Faith of Our Fathers". Margaret McCarter introduced Fern Dougall w'ho !poke about the information about Uslxnrnc Town- , ship. She, gave a very interesting talk. Margaret- Stewart thanked Ferre :md Margaret McCarter pre- sented her with a gift. June Stewart opened the business with a poem "A Treasure The roll call was answered with how many Christmas gifts have you bought so far?. Church News Rev. Sheila Macgregor was in charge of the regular church service on Sunday morning. We sang the children's hymn "Jesus Loves The Little Children" and Rev. Sheila gave the children's message "The Jesus Puppet". The choir sang "In The Sweet Bye and Bye" accompanied by the Saintsbury by Mrs. Heber Davis SAINTSBURY - Floly Commun- ion service was held at St. Patricks, Sunday. Rev. Beverly Whccicr.,was in charge. Mrs. Wayne Carroll pro- vided music. Mary Davis read the lessons. Na- dine Bedell and Rose Cunningham assisted the rector. She spoke td the children on the importance of "Remembrance Day" She took her text form Si. Mark 13.
