Lincoln Hawks tie Strathroy
Exeter Lincoln Hawks and Strath-
roy battled to a 3-3 tic on Saturday
in Strathroy.
Exeter opened the scoring with a
goal by Floyd Riley, assisted by Ja-
mic Steeper and Rob Haines in the
first. Strathroy tied it early in thc
second period, before Mike Clay
gave Exeter thc go-ahead goal as-
sistcd by Tony Armstrong.
Strathroy scored twice in thcthird
perirxl putting the pressure on Exet-
er, but Steve Campbell found the
opening and scored assisted by
Mike Clay and Jamie Steeper.
The team travelled to Zurich .on
Monday and play host to Lucan on
Sunday.
Panthers down Madill

EXETER - On Wednesday, No-
vember 2, South Huron District
High School's girls basketball
teams hosted regular -season games
against F.E. Madill of Wingham.
It was,a very successful day for
South Huron as aU three teams
were victorious,
The Senior Panthers defeated F.E.
Madill 41-26.
The first half of the game gave
South Huron a little more difficulty
than anticipated as F.E. Madill
played well keeping the game to a
close 17-16 match.
Fortunately South Huron im-
proved in the second half to take the
win.
Laurie Forrester led the team with
23 points. Heather Rideout fol-
lowed with three and Cassie Van
Dongen and Michelle Ellison each
added four. .
South Huron's junior girls
claimed and easy 34-15 victoryver
Madill: The team played very weII,
dominating the entire game.
The girls took a convincing 14-3
lead in the first half of play. They
continued to play consistently to
win the match 34-15.
Julia Merner scored 10 points for
South Huron, followed by Tracey
Campbell and Sheryl Oke with six
as well as Carrie Lovie, Jen Taylor
and Shannon Boyd, with four each.
South, Huron's midget girls also
added a win to their record against
the Mustangs.
Angela Gould had a good game
leading South Huron to the 50-21
victory with 16 points. Kerry
Manders had 12 points and Carrie
Suc Kyle had eight.
Pee Wee take part
in Goderich
GODERICH - The Exeter Pee
Wee Legionnaires played in a Le-
gion tournament in Godcrich on
Saturday and won their first game
and lost their second, to Seaforth,
which ended up being the champi-
onship game in the division.
Exeter bombed Brussels in the
first -game 9-2, putting the game
away with five goals m the third
period.
Mark Glavin led Exeter with a hat
trick, Steve Farquhar notched a pair
and singles went to Derek Camp-
bell, Trevor Taylor, Scan McCann
and Ryan Stuart.
Brian Gardner led in the assist de-
partment with a trio, Farquhar and
Gavin Snell each had a pair and Ian
• Jean and Jcff Lingard both had one
each. .

Seaforth took ,a 4-2 after the first
period and Exeter managed to make
•it a one -goal deficit by scoring
-twice in the second period to Sea-
forth's one. but neither team could

were; Farquhar unassisted, Mark
