EXETER - The afternoon unit of
Exeter U.C.W. was held on Thurs-
day, November 10. Mrs. Jean Mur-

we not have peace when we know
the dreadful price of war?"
In a worship service with a Scrip-
ture reading by Mrs. Jean Noels and
prayer by Mrs. Mabel Jeffery, the
conclusion was reached that if man
wishes peace, he must return to the
two greatest commandments - to
love God above all and to love
one's neighbour as.oneself.
Mrs. Beryl Elgie was in charge of
the Study Book on Africa. She ex-
plained some words commonly used
in this study such as African, Col-
oured, Africaner and apartheid. She
concluded with the stories of three
African women telling of their
three -pronged oppression as wom-
en, poor and black.
Mrs. Laura Dickie conducted the
business.
