BETHkL REFORMED BAZAAR - The ladies of Bethel Reformed Church in Exeter held a successful bazaar,
Saturday. Shown with some baked goods are Helen Toornstra, Teresa Wynja and Betty Brand. Donations of $300
each are being made to the Exeter Lions Youth Centre and the Friendship House for Battered Women in Goderich.

Sister Marg Cook P.G. was in Uni-
versity Hospital.
On November 19 next meeting

Mt. Carmel CWL
bazaar Saturday
MT. CARMEL - The November
meeting of the Mount Carmel
CWL was held on Tuosday, No-
vember 1 in the meeting room. The
guest speaker for the evening was
Tanya Mitchell from the Wyoming
"Right to Life". She showed and
spoke on a film cailed "Eclipse of
Reason."
Theresa McCann gave a reading
called A Prayer for Abortion Crisis.
Diana Hardy rcad the correspon-
dence. We have bccn invited to sev-
eral other -church bazaars in the.
area.
Our own bazaar is only a few
days away. It will be held in the
Dashwood Community Centre from
10 to 4. Everyone is working extra
hard to finish their projects and pre-
paring to bake their goodies for Sat-
urday November 12.
Anyonewishing to help sct up or
bring items for the bazaar can do so

Humanitarian Services Commit-
tee reported- that new .officers have
been declared. Chairman is now
Bro.. Bev -Parsons and Sister Mavis
Atthill J.P.N.G. is the secretary -
treasurer. On November 9, the sec-
ond Wednesday, of the month, this
committee will be hosting. a pro-
gressive euchre parry in the lodge
hall at 8 p.m.
On November 10, a representative
from the Independent Order of Odd -
fellows and Rebekahs Life Insu-
rance. Co. will be at the lodge hall
at '8 p.m. Anyone over the age of
55 is welcome.

Party to he held on the first Wed-
nesday of December. Dinner will
start al 6:30 and there will he a gift
exchange. Sister Elaine closed the
meeting with the poein "Flow to be
a Friend", Euchre games Billowed
with eight tables in progress.

Students sing for Queensway residents
HENSALL Monday afternoon
we welcomed sixty Hensall Public
school children as they sang for us
after lunch. Thank your to their
music teacher Kathy Burrow for
bringing them. Several members
of our Ladies' Auxiliary bravely ap-
peared in costume to run a special
Halloween Bingo.
Geri Fashions spent Wednesday
with us. In the afternoon we had a
fashion show, with residents and
staff modeling. '
In the evening "The South Huron
Gospel Singers'' presented a beauti-
ful program in song. Queensway
Ladies'. Auxiliary met in the activi-
ty room for a sewing bee to finish
up a few of our crafts for the No-
vember 16 sale.

Pentecostal WMS
EXETER - The regular meeting
of the Women's Ministries of the
Pentecostal Church was held at the
home of Mrs. Ella Tinney with 11
members present.
The meeting was opened by sing-
ing the hymn, "O Happy Day" and
"The Healing Waters". Prayer was
offered by Mrs. Ada Triebner. the
roll call was answered with a scrip-
ture verse containing the word,
"Thanks". The financial report and
the minutes of the last meeting
were_read by Mrs. Jean Jolly in the
absence of Miss Marion Tricbner.
After correspondence was then
read, Mrs. Shelley Dayman gave
her message of thanksgiving in the
form of her testimony.
The monthly bulletin was read by
Mrs. Ruth McLaren. A special
number was read by Mrs. Estella
Finkbeiner entitled "Deadly Ven-
om" referring to hornets and how
the deadly venom of sin can kill and
destroy lives. Jesus paid the awful
price that we might be redeemed. •
The Missionary reading was giv-
en by Mrs. Shirley Prouty. Prayer
time followed with each -member
participating. A delicious lunch was
served by Ada Tricbner and Jean
Tricbner assisted by the hostess.
OPP accidents
EXETER Only two accidents
were investigated this week by offi-
cers of the Exeter town police de-
partment.
The first occurred on Hallbwecn
day in the parking lot of the Exeter
branch of CanadianTire and involved

Perth County, "ADHOP". The
business meeting was held in the
.morning. In the afternoon -Dianne
Gcrstenkorn of the Hensall—Flower
Basket" gave a demonstration of
several Christmas Crafts that resi-
dents would be able to make. 1t
was a very informative afternoon.
