Hibbert UCW hosts West Perth Regional of six charges

United Church Women on Wednes-

50 women from six pastoral charg-
es attended. •-

lustrated talk about her experiences,
• as a delegate t 'Adventure in Part-
nership in Ethi pia."-- Other events
included a sing -song led by the

brought from the Presbyterian and
from the Regional president. .

The hostess branch served Tight re-
freshments during the intermission.
A thoughtful worship service led
by the ladies from the. Kirkton
branch brought the evening to a -

Dorothy Bell was auctioneer and
was• able to raise S14.95 for the
nine hats -sold. It was'amazing how
• the hats suited the individuals, in
spite of -not being able to sce-what

Betty McGregor, the guest speak-
- et-, showed. slides and spoke on the
work of Town and Country Boma
makers in Huron County. There are
• 180 homemakers at the present
time who arc matched up with indi-
viduals so that they can help main-
tain a homelike environment in
their own home.
Joan Fahie gave a very interesting
commentary on "A Life in the Day
of a Hemcmakcr".

The "Meat Kabobs" of Kippen 3
held their fourth meeting at Vanas-
tra Curling Club on Tuesday, Octo-
ber 18. The name of this club is
"Much Ado about Mcat".
The recipes we tried this time
were Sweet and Sour Meat Loaf,
and Lamb Cholas. Both turned out
very successfully.
Laura Wilder brought a birthday
cake for one of our leaders, Mary
Ellen MacLachlan and a member,
Barb Fothcringham. Press Reporter
