scriptures that were meaningful to
the residents and everyone benefited
from a lovely service.
Thursday afternoon residents met
for crafts, and produced a special
Halloween mannequin for our Nel-
son Street entrance. "-Little Miss _
Broadway" was our Thursday eve-
ning featured film.
Residents worked out at the exer-
cise session Friday morning and in
the afternoon euchre, -dominos,
crokinole was played in the Activi-
ty room.
October 27 at 2:30 p.m. Laurcne
Madge and friends join us for our
monthly birthday party. Interna-
tional Day is featuring Greece on
October 28 at 2:30 p.m.

Tuesday shuffleboard results

HENSALL - Shuffleboard results
for Tuesday, October 18. Five -
game winners were Dave Kyle 397,
George Dowson 374, Eileen Dow -
son 301 and Isabel Rogerson 242.
Six -game winners were Emma
Campbell 352, Dave Woodward
345, Percy Campbell 321 and Wal-
ter Davis 311.
United Church
The Junior Choir at Hensall Unit-
ed Church on Sunday sang "Praise
the Lord". Rev. Doug Wright ex-
plained to the children that we are
all God's children and Mrs. Sharon
Wurm read the Scripture lesson. •
Following the service tea, coffee
and squares were served in fellow-
ship hall.
The United Church's London
Conference Group of LIFE Media
filmed a short program at Hensall
United Church on Sunday.
, The Messengers have decided to
change their meetings to 6:30-8
every other, Monday evening. Lead-
ers are still needed: Contact Bev
Bell 263-5579.
The senior choir will practice this
Friday evening at 7:30 at the
Church.

ZURICH - After a two. week va-
cation in sunny California, I will
try to bring you up to date on some
of the activities during that time.
The regular monthly meeting of
the Ladies Auxiliary was held Octo-
ber 8. An October poem was read
by Anne Flaxbard. The music for
the evening was supplied by George
Mathonia who played the accordion,
Ivan Norris playing the banjo and
Floyd Thompson accompanied
them on the violin. A social time
followed and refreshments were
- served after which pie members of
the Auxiliary held the business part
of the meeting.
The sympathy of Residents and
staff arc extended to the fancily of
the late Mrs. Mary Gerber.
Mrs. Ann Willcrt and Mrs.
Yvonne Creces are both patients in
South Huron Hospital. We wish
them a speedy recovery.

VARNA - The last meeting of
the Varna 4-11 Club was held at the
home of Vicki Wildef , Monday
October 17.
The girls watched a movie on
meat. They then prepared and
cooked sweet and sour meat loaf
which they alt thought was very
good.
Varna Youth Groupppmeets at the
ball diamond Friday, October 28 at
2 p.m. for a game of baseball,
weather permitting. There will be a
treasure hum on bicycles to follow
this.
Sunday, October 30 Church ser-
vices will be at regular times.
Tuesday. November 1, the Varna
Session •nie#ts at the Church at
7:30 -p.m.
-Wilfred Clutter had his grand-
daughter, Lisa Boyce from London,
visit him for the weekend.
