Women was held on Monday eve-
ning with 30 ladies present. Mrs.
Joan Morgan welcomed everyone
and opened the worship service
with -a poem "A Thankful Heart".
Miss Doris Elford read the Scrip-
ture and also gave a Thanksgiving
prayer.
Mrs. Darlene Passmore and Mrs.
Joan Morgan received the offering
with prayer by Mrs. Kathy Bray.

on Thanksgiving, "Thanks Be To
God", which was really good.
A reading "Thanksgiving Mira-
cles" by Darlene Passmore, and a
hymn brought the worship service
to a close. •

Lucan Revival
LUCA-N - Pieter Schinkleshoek
conducted the Sunday morning ser-
vice. Rev. Roger Mason, from
Revelation 14:14-16, spoke about
the harvest. Rev. Roger Mason
read the history of the first Thanks-
giving instituted by the Pilgrim Fa-
thers at Plymouth, USA:
In John 4:35 we read -God's har-
vest of believers, which Jesus start-
ed, is ready now. Just as a farmer
must harvest his fields when they
are ready, so Christians need the
same harvest attitude to win people
for thc Lord.
Sunday evening Rev. Roger Ma-
son led the song service with Mrs.
Marlyn Jenkins as gucst pianist.
Pieter Schinkleshoek from Matthew
3:11. and Lukc 11:5-13, spoke
about Jesus giving Christians the
baptism of the Holy Spirit.
After his conversion, Schinkle-
shock longed for spiritual gifts
from God. The promise of the gift
of baptism was given to him as
promised in Acts 2:17-18. The
first church was formed in Jerusa-
lem when the followers of the risen
Lord Jesus obeyed Him to wait for
and received this Holy Spirit bap-
tism in Acts 2:1-4.
Upcoming events, October 30,
Sunday guest singers Andrew and
Kathcy Eastmond will be minister-
ing in services.
