A first for Hensall
Kinsmen
HENSALL - The Hensall and
District Kinsmen are hosting their
first annual Farm Toy Show and
Sale at the Hensall Arena on Sun-
day, October 16 from 10 a.m. till 4
p.m. Admission is only $1.00 for
adults and children under 12 are free.
If you would like more information
or are interested in setting up a ta-
ble at the show call Marvin Taylor
at 262-3125. •
Shuffleboard
Correction on the day for Shuf-
fling in Hensall. The Happy Shuf-
flers gather every Tuesday at 1 p.m.

Eileen Dowson was top winner
this week with a 418 score for six
games and Joy Hogg was second.
Both ladies won every game. Pearl
McKnight was next with 378 fol-
lowed by Ethel McMurtrie 329,
Jack Consitt 326 and Isobel Roger-
son 300.
Northcrest news
The residents of Northcrest would
like. to issue a warm welcome to
Irene Davis who moved into her
apartment last Thursday.
Margaret Mole attended the wed-
ding of her niece Tracey Machan to
Mr. Gary McPhee on Friday eve-
ning at Goderich. Ida Dickert has
spent the last week with her grand-
daughter Robyn McLellan of To-
ronto.
Shirley and Eric Luther of Kitch
ener visited last Wednesday with
Hazel Luther of Northcrest.
United Church
A Bible study group got under-
way October 4 to run Tuesday
mornings at 10 a.m. This year's
topic will be the Gospel of Mark.
The afternoon group of the UCW
plan farm toy show
wilt meet this Thursday at 2:30,
here at the Church.
Mrs. Marion Peebles of London
spent several days with Leonard and
Minnie Noakes of Hensall. Marion
is Minnie's sister. While in Hensall
she enjoyed renewing acquaintances
with many friends and attended ser-
vices at Carmel 'Presbyterian
Church on Sunday.
Three Links
With nine tables playing, the
Three Links Seniors opened their
fall session of Euchre Parties. Win-
ners were Ladies high Getfie Moir,
second Nellie Riley. Men's high
Mary Broadfoot, second Clarence
Volland and lone hands Pearl Tay-
lor.
Draw prizes went to Alf Ross,
Ruby Bell, Dorothy Brintnell,
George Dowson, Gerrie Flechauer
and Edna Patterson. The next card
Party will be October 25 at the
Hall.
STUDENT COUNCIL PRIZE - SHDHS student council president Lisa
Ellerington presented a scholarship to Marie DeBruyn at Friday's Com-
mencement.
