One of the best horse exhibits was
the Sifton's four horse hitch from
St. Thomas. Ozzie Long of Kitch-
ener won as best lady pony driver.
Howard Fletcher of Lambeth ex=
hibited the best ram in the sheep
master of cernteonieS in his usual
amicable manner.
In Friday's Calf Scramblethe
winner was Mike Dale. In market
steers the open champion was Jean
MacFarland with Steve Bannister as
the reserve champ.
Karen Looman of RR 5, Strath-
roy was named Middlesex Dairy
show. The 13 to 16 years boys and
girls lamb special was won .by.Car-
rie Kennedy of Ilderton,
-Top winners in the goat show
were Marsha and Tom DeForge of
Ilderton and Robert Stokes of Ford-
wich.
In grains, Brian O'Neill showed
the best bushel of corn and in field
crop competitions Hillstream
Farms won in wheat and Jim Ken-
nedy was best in soybeans.
In 4-H classes, Mary Ann Ladell
was the senior points winner and
.Sherri Dickey was best in the jun
for division. Both are from Ilderton.
In the handcraft section, Jean
Robb of Ilderton had the best quilt
and will be eligible for the Canada
Packers competition. Lena Stokes
of Ailsa Craig won special and
overall prize in handwork.
In baking, ,winners were Mrs.
Don Hedley and Ivah Smibert, Can-
ning champion was Donna Lee, RR
2, Ailsa Craig.
The exhibits of vegetables were
large. Winners were Petra Bronche,
RR 1, Lucan and Brad Henderson,
Ilderton.
Winners of the schools Cancer
Society poster contest were Tina
Dinkel and Lisa Little both of Val-
leyview School.

GRADUATE - Heather Love grad-
uated from Humber College June
18, receiving her diploma in Funeral
Service Education. She has suc-
cessfully completed the Provincial
Examinations and has been award-
ed her Ontario Funeral Director's Li-
cence. She is currently employed at
the J.M. L nett Funeral Home,
Wawa, Ont. Heather is the daughter
of Brenda and Gerry Love and
granddaughter of Lillian Mollard and
Fern Love.
Sinfonia Serenade
is making debut
LONDON - Orchestra London's
new series, Sinfonia Serenade de-
buts October 11 and 12, 8:00 p.m.
at the Dundas Street Centre, 482
Dundas Street. The Sinfonia Sere-
nade features Orchestra London's
most experienced professional mu-
sicians performing works.of classi-
cal music enthusiasts.
Conductor Gerald Fagand and The
Gerald Fagan Singers arc' the guest
artists at this concert. Since their
formation in 1979 the Gerald Fagan
Singers have become one of Cana-
da's top Chamber Choirs.
The program, titled "Songs of It-
aly" features works by Mozart, in-
cluding the Don Giovanni Over-
ture, K. 527, and music by
Puccini. Tickets arc S14 each and
