EXETER - The weather just
doesn't get any better than it was
on the : weekend when Exeter
Grcys/Devils ran their annual
tournament.
In the ladies slo-pitch division
of the tourney, Goderich Oldtim-
ers claimed the A trophy when
they defeated Bayfield Babes 9-3
Sunday. Babes put out South Hu-
ron Hospital en route to the final
while Goderich eliminated Brin-
slcy to advance.
The B title was claimed by Sea -
forth Swingers who downed Bid-
dulph Blues 11-3 .in the B final.
Swingers ousted Giffords Sunday
morning to earn a berth in the fi-
nal while Biddulph got there on
the backs of Big O.
The C final was capture! by
Downtown Dollies who beat
Arva 16-9 for the honour.
On the men's side of the tour-
ney, Ilderton snapped up the A
trophy after defeating Crumble
Bums 7-5 in the A final. Ilderton
downed Party Pack 9-5 to earn a
berth in the final.
The B championship went to
Brewers who defeated River Rats
15-3.
J and D's blanked Chiselhurst
14-0 for the C trophy.
An impromptu game to decide
an unofficial D champion was
thrown together on the back dia- p
mond at the Rcc Centre Sunday
afternoon. A mixture of Sur
downers and Inndianettes com-
bined to defeat Gifford 9-8.
