ZURICH - No doubt most people
are aware that the Zurich Bean Fes-
oval will be held in Zurich this
coming weekend and we invite visi-
tors and friends to feel welcome to
visit the Homeland renew acquain-
tances with everyone here. We also
invite you to visit the booth of the
Blue Water Rest Home -Auxiliary
who 'will be having items for sale
along.with the quilt to be raffled off
during the early evening. All pro-
ceeds go towards Resident com-
forts.
The August birthdayparty was -
hosted by _the Ladies of Thames.
Road United Church. Piano instru-
mentals were presented by Ryan
Parker, Laura Milier, Jody Rowe,
Erin Parker, Rebecca Miller and
Jayne Rowe. •
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rhode played
the violin and piano and Mrs. Jean
Hodgert and Mrs. Alma Ballantyne
both favoured with piano solos.
Birthday gifts, courtesy of the La-
dies Auxiliary were presented to the
following Residents: Mrs. Rose
Butler, Mrs. Hazel Coward, Mrs.
Mabel Glenn, Mrs. Violet Huntley,
Mrs. Elizabeth Lawrence -and Mrs.
Margaret Snell.. -
We regret that Mr. Doc (Waldo)
Horn is a patient in Victoria Hospi=
tal, London.
Now that the temperature is more
temperate, Residents are finding it
more pleasant to participate"in the
various planned activities.
The Sunday evening chapel ser-
vice was conducted hy Rev: Bob
Sinasac of Zurich and Dashwood
United Church. Mrs. Phillipa
Steckle presided at the organ during
the service.
