about 80 taniily members arrived

day night. As.we had not been to -
Tether since last February we en-
joyed a visit time. •

In tho social time we played six

RCAP reunion
in Dunnville
DUNNVILLE - For .the past 42
years Royal Canadian Air Force
personnel who wcrc stationed at
_-No. 6 S.F.T.S. during the war have
gathered in Dunnville to celebrate
their station reunion. This year
marks their 43rd get together which
will take place September 9th, 10th
and l l th.
The weekend begins with a Lake
Eric perch dinner at the Royal Ca-
nadian. •Legion on Friday evening
followed by a reception at the Riv-
erview Motel hosted by his Wor-
ship Mayor -Frank Marshall.

Overflow crowd at
outdoor service

GRAND BEND - An overflow
crowd that required extra chairs car-
ried out, were present at the outdoor
United Church morning services
last Sunday.
The special music was 13 mem-
bers of "The Bethesda Temple
' Choral Group" from Sterling
I'eights, Michigan, who sang sev-
eral beautiful numbers accompanied
by recorded music. They were well
received with hearty hand claps.'
Guest minister was Rev. R. Pee-
- blos, of Dashwood, -speaking on
".Verdicts". He told us Christianity
is judged by what it does.
The Scripture was read by Joan
Eagleson. •
Coffee; cookies and freshic were
served at the close of the .scrvice:

luncheon meal to the guest singers

came out winners. Thcy played
some great games. Their final game
was against Vanastra, and they won
the "B" Championship. Their
coaches are Pat Norman andDavid
Cooper.
The Squirt girls played in Gode-
rich. Thcy won their first game and
lost their second. Sandy I layter and
Pat Taylor arc their coaches.
The Pee Wee Boys played in Col -
bourne. Thcy won their first gaine
and lost their second which put
them out. Steven Baldwin and Low-
ell Mount are their coaches.
The Mite Girls played in Clinton
and lost both their games but I lcicn
Faber deserves a lot of credit for
coaching this team by herself,
sometimes having help from Allan
Carter. This team ranges in age
from 6-10 years and they play nine_
and 10 -year-olds. Thanks to llcicn
for her super coaching and patience.

The Dreamers play Thursday Au-
gust 25 at 9 p.m. in Varna against
the Mustangs.
The annual season cnd family ball
games and pot luck picnic supper is
to be held Sunday, September 4.
The parents play against their chil-
dren. Ball shirts should be turned in
on that date. Those terns that have
won should come prepared for pic-
tures.

BAKED BEANS
3 cups (750 ml) cooked navy beans
1 tsp (5 m1) salt •
3/4 cup (175 ml) brown sugar
. 1/2 cup(125 ml) chopped onions
1 tsp.(5 ml) dry mustard
PePPer
2 cups (500 ml) tomato juice
1 cup (250 ml) bacon in pieces
Put the cooked beans in a• large
casserole or a bean pot (preferably).
Add mustard, salt, pepper, brown
sugar, tomato juice, onions and ba-
con. Cover and bake slowly for at
least 1 1/2 hours at 300 degrees F
(150 C). If they look dry, add a
little more hot water. Keep moist .
all through the cooking.
