bat were Jeff MacLean, two -for -
five, Jeff Glavin, two -for -four, Dar-
ryl Hartman, two -for -three, Scott
Rowe two -for -two with a double,
Todd Redegcld two -for -two.
In their second pine, Guenther
started on .the mound for Exeter
against -a weaker Walkerton B team.
After two innings the -game-was
tied 6-6.
In the top of the third inning Jeff
Glavin sparked a five run rally with
a three -run home run. -
In the bottom of the third,
Guenther retired in order to keep the
score 11-6.
Exctcr proved to be the superior
team by scoring 13 -runs in one in-
ning. The drive was sparked by
Andy Glavin'' three -run home run.
Paul Van Dykcn fini..hed the gams
• on the mound and held Walkerton
to eight runs, Exeter scored two
more runs. in the top of the fifth in
order to mercy Walkerton 26-16.
Strong games at the plat- were
supplied by Paul Van Dykcn and
Darryl Hartman- who both went
three -for -four, Andy -Glavin with a
home run and double, Scott Rowe;
Joseph Maskell, Jeff MacLean and
Michael Schwindt.
In their third and final game, Ex-
ctcr came up against Listowel.

1\IOOREFIELD - Exeter Greys
continual to do well in• tournament
play, finishing as A finalists in
Moorefield last weekend.
Their first game Saturday morn-
ing was against a strong St. Cle-
ments team. St. Clements scored in
the first inning and led 1-0 until the
fourth .when Dianne McCuaig
scoretl on a sacrifice fly by Judy
Nahrgang.
The score stayed 1-1 until the
bottom of six when St. Clements
scored four runs to lead 5-1.
Greys came up in the top Of the
seventh led by hits from Tess Neth -
cry, Lynne Farquhar and Sandra
Burns. Greys came out .with six
runs for a 7-5 final score.
In the second .game the Exeter
team fell behind by two runs to
Paris Royals but in the fourth in-
ning 'singles from Farquhar,
McCuaig and Gail Bcucrman started
a rally. to score three.

EXETER - Twenty-four golfers
took part in the Exctcr Golf Club
men's night this week when Dash-
wood industries sponsored the
competition.
Don Wallace took low gross in
B flight when he recorded a 43 as
did Ray Webb. Steve Dubarry fol-
lowed with 44. Low nct in B flight
went to Bob Reynolds with 31 and
Monty Scott with 32.
Francis Chadwick shot a 45 to
take low gross in 12 flight. He was
followed by Garry Kyle and Mark
Wragg with 48 Cath. -
Low net went to Larry Pole with
32. Dave Hunt followed with 33
and Mike Veal turned in a low nct
of 34. Bill Chadwick shot a 35.
Steve Dubarry had the longest
drive while Bob Reynolds came
closest to the hole. Reynolds also
won the 50/50 draw.
The Exctcr Men's Open golf
tournament will be held August 28
with an 8-11 a.m. start. The entry
fee is S40. New clubs and a new
car, courtesy of Miles Ford will be
awarded for holes in one. Interested
parties can register at L'e pro shop.
