BETTER CHIP SHOTS
When you have a short chip shot from just
off the putting surface, visualize a clock.
The bolt' is 6 o'clock and tile hand of the
clock is the club shaft. For short shots, take
the club back to 5 o'clock and follow
1 through to 7 o'clock. For longer shots, take
the club back to 4 o'clock and so on. Avoid
1 taking the club back too far on your short
1 shots to the green.

READY FOR NATIONALS — Loads and loads of sand
have been added to the Hully Gully track in prepara-
tion for the Labatt national motocross championships
to be held July 9, 10. -
House league fun
double on weekend
This Saturday% and Sunday
Hully Gully presents a double.
header weekend with house
league racing on Saturday
and the second Rough Coun-
try Rodeo on Sunday. Satur-
day's race will feature a
special trophy day for House
League racers. Trophies will
be awarded to the winners of
the day instead of their week-
ly ribbons.
Saturday Hully Gully will
feature a unique style of
motorized fun and excitement
as the three-wheelers take to
their own track. Riders will
be competing for trophies and
prizes on the newly designed
A:T.V. track.
Racing action begins at 2:00
on Saturday and 11:00 on
Sunday.
With the Labatt's National
Senior Motocross Champion-
ships one month away, Hully
Gully's track preparation ef-
forts are going full speed
ahead! Truckload upon
truckload of sand has been
added to the clay base at the
track to assure the best possi-
ble conditions for the Na-
tionals on July 9 and 10.
During the Junior Nationals
last year, Yvonne Duilamel,
a former top Canadian rider,
commented that Hully Gul-
iy's track was "The nicest 1
have seen...i was surprised."
This year, the track will be
even better. When a comment
like that is made by one of
Canada's most famous
veteran motocross racers, it's
difficult to see what else can
be done, but with !fully Gul-
ly's extensive motocross ex-
perience they are always
striving to make the sport bet-
ter for riders and spectators
alike.
