The program, based on the changes we meet in life and what we do about them, was prepared by Jean Snell. Ann Brodie read the parable of the Lobster who complained to the Creator about having to change his shell so often. The Creator gave him per- mission to keep his present shell but soon the lobster found the shell to be too small -and heavy. So he went back to the Creator who explained that everyone and everything con- tinuously changes and when you let go of your shell and choose to grow you build new strength within yourself. And in that strength you'll find new strength to love yourself, others and life itself. This was followed by brief talks on changes we may en- counter in our personal lives and in the church structure. It was shown that we must always look to the Scriptures for guidance in making our decisions. Creation is constantly changing but God's love is changeless. Therefore it is necessary for us to be sen- sitive to our need - to be aware of the direction in which God may be calling us. Those taking part were Glaays Hern, Alice May, Ruth Ellwood, Leone Brock, Anna Coates and Ella Willard. Alice May introduced her grandson, Darren Tinney, who played two piano solos. During the business meeting Thelma Russel. reminded all of the Presbytery meeting at Camp Menesetung on June 16. Those going will meet at the church between 8:15 and 8:30 a.m. Bring food for a pot luck lunch and a lawn chair. Members were reminded to keep working for the fall bazaar.
