Staffa Institute entertains 441 members, leaders

meeting of the Staffa
Women's Institute, held in the
township hall May 25 was the
recognition of 4-11 members
from four 4-11 Homemaking
clubs and 1 farm manage-

After the service lunch

relatives, neighbours, and
friends in the education

Mrs. Ruth McAreavy, her
son and wife, Dennis and
Mary McAreavy, Ruth's
brother and wife, Joe and
Patsy Sherritt, of Calgary,
Alberta, visited here last
week with their cousins, Mr.
and Mrs. Lorne Fenner and
Mrs. Mabel Guenther. They
all made the trip to Ontario to
attend the wedding of Ricky
Sherritt, in Hamilton. May 28.
The McAreavy family left
for home Saturday night, but
the Sherritts, up to Ontario
for the first time, continued
on to vacation at the east
coast of C.nada.
Hugh and Annie Morenz
visited Sunday afternoon with
the Corbett families of Hen-
sall area. Annie attended a
bridal shower, at Donna Cor-
bett's home, for the fiancee
Donna Bickel!, of Mitchell, of
Joey Chaffe, a great nephew
of the Morenz's.
Helpers at the shower in-
cluded Janine Corbett and
Sheila Riley.
Readings were given by
Joey's grandma, Hazel Cor-
bett of Hensall, and his little
six-year-old sister Sally enter-
tained with tap dancing.
The wedding date of the
young couple is June 18th.
Visitors a day last week at
their Morenz cousins home
were Wes and Stuart Col-
eman, of London.
The squirts baseball team
held their first game of the
season at West Williams
Thursday evening. Score

Vacation Bible School will
he held the week of July 25
and the ladies will be serving
cookies and freshie.
The Huron Presbyterial
campsite experience will be
held June 16 at Camp
Menesetung in Goderich. All
U.C.W. ladies are welcome.
The September meeting
will be held September 8.

Cottel who wrote the news for
me last week while I was in
hospital. Thanks for all the
cards, visits, flowers and
treats I received while in
hospital and since returning
home. It was all greatly
