The 108th annual meeting of
the Ilay Township Farmer's
Mutual Fire Insurance Com-
pany was held at the main of-
fice in Zurich Saturday

Elmer Hayter was elected

Euchre tournament on Feb.
25 in Crediton. Lion Carl Fink-
beiner represented the club at
the "Big . Brothers'

$50.00 was given. Chevron
awards were handed out to

. on Saturday after a lovely
twenty day bus trip to
Florida.

The third "meeting of 4-11
started as usual .with the
pledge and roll call. We
followed in our books and
read about many different
dishes of• different na
tionalities. When we were half
way through the meeting, we
made borsch. vegetable --
Macaroni casserole, and rice
with peaches. We ended our
meeting with eating the feast
of food we had prepared and
began planning fors our party
in the near future.
• Thirteen girls are taking
part in this seven week course
which is held every Tuesday
night at 6:30 in the Township
hall with leaders, Helen and
Joan R�Qegier.

March will net come in like a
lion: Some of. our residents
who enjoy gardening are
quite enthused about the pro-
fusion of geraniums blooming
in the greenhouse. Under the
guiding eye o► our adjuvant,
Mrs. ('dtherine Shantz. they
have been planting tomato
seeds which they will watch
grow and eventually reap the
benefits Of.

• On Tuesday evening, the
G.S.M.A. girls from the
Zurich •Mennonite Church
provided a program for the
residents and. also served
them a delicious lunch.
We welcome Mrs. Hazel
Coward, a former Exeter
area resident, and are .;Iso
pleased to have Mrs. Rose
Butler return from South
Huron Hospital.
The residents are now able
to enjoy video tapes. This was
made possible through one of
the grants ieeeived for Senior
Citizens.
Bingo was played on Friday
evening .
The Sunday evening chapel
service was conducted by Mr.
. and Mrs. Eric Luther of
Hensel!.
