Church service
The regular church service
was held Sunday with the
Rev. Robert Matheson in
charge. He told the children's
story "Friendly Favour?"
The sermon was entitled
"Room In The World?" Part
I of Series "Our Faith". Is
there really room for God in
the world today? The story of
that first Christmas tells us
there was no room at the inn.
We find from his encounters,
that people were not fully
prepared for the ministry of
Jesus. In many cases there
was no room for Christ in the
hearts of worldly people. We
need to seek a belle,-
understanding
etterunderstanding of our faith -
just what do we believe,
anyway? Is the profit motive
.the only form of human
morality we need to under
stand? Are there prophets in
the world today to motivate
our lives in a different
direction.
As we embark on 1983 we
remember our Christmas
celebrations. God sent Jesus
into the world to give all a
new beginning.
New beginnings - new pur-
pose - is what life with God is
all about. Is there room? -
that's a question we can
answer only from our hearts!
