Motorbike licences
Now that spring has of-
ficially arrived many motor-
bike enthusiasts are again
preparing their vehicles for
another summer.
The Ontario Ministry of
Transportation and Com-
munications reminds motor-
cycle operators the licensing
system was recently chang-
ed and plates or permits will
no longer he issued each
year. Instead, motorcycle
and moped plates will re-
main legal and be validiated
annually by means of a
sticker.
On 1980 plates, the sticker
should be placed at the top
centre between the "ONT '
and "1980". New plates
issued will provide space for
validation in the upper
righthand corner.
A new multi-year permit
will also be issued to
register motorcycles and
mopeds, similar to those
used for passenger cars.
Further information about
the new licensing system is
available at all MTC offices
or any of the 318 issuing
agents located throughout
the province.
