Each team scored three points in Friday's regular action. The Jaams were the only team to score the maximum of five points. When you succeed ...we succeed. ROYAL BANK to St. Marys for the third game, Saturday. If they win, the fourth game will be in Exeter on Sunday at 5:15. The Exeter pee wees, bantams and midgets were all eliminated by St. Marys in three straight in their playoffs last week. In the first game, Satur- day, the Exeter crew let down for five minutes at the start of the second period and watched the home crew score five times on their way to a 6-0 win. St. Marys scored at the 49 second mark of the second and upped their lead to 5-0 by the 5:20 mark. At home, Sunday, the Exeter lads deserved a better fate as they out- played the Stonetown crew, but just couldn't put the puck in the net as they lost 4-2. Doug Clark and Jon O'Connor scored for Exeter with assists going to Jeff Dalrymple, Larry Lewis and Jeff Hannah. Novice goalie Harlen Tinney was between the pipes for Exeter and turned in a good showing. Waxers get tie The Exeter novice came within 30 seconds of pulling their biggest upset of the season when they travelled to St. Marys for a game against the powerful Shamrock league leaders. Exeter led 4-2 late in the game, but the hosts scored once with a minute to go and then picked up the equalizer with just 30 seconds left on the clock. Coach Cy Blommaert said it was his team's best showing this year. Robbie McLelland scored three times to pace the Exeter attack with David Schwindt picking up the single. Recording assists were Jason Hern, Jamie Bedard, Jim Ahrens, David Dalrymple and Craig Soldan. Alan Blommaert, Jamie Bedard and Mark Burton turned in strong defensive efforts for the Exeter crew along with goalie Harlen Tinny. Midgets Tose In an exhibition contest, Monday, the Zurich midgets handed Exeter a 9-6 thum- in p David Smith paced the winners on their home ice with gour goals. Jamie McClinchy added a pair and singles were fired by Scott Jesney, David Erb and Paul Johnston. Mike Clark recorded three tallies for Exeter, who trailed 9-3 at one point in the third period. Scott Brintnell, Scott Pincombe and Steve Prout picked up the singles.
