Auditors W. I). Weekes and Jas. Beer gave in their reports stating that they had gone over the books of the treasurer and found them cor- rect. An invitation was relseived to at- tend the :uulual meeting of the Can- adian Association for the prevention of Consumption and otter farms of tuberculosis to be held undor the patronage of the Governor General. The member for South. Iluron will be asked to represent the corpora.. tion. A copy of the by-law framed at the last meeting of the county coun- cil was read. The copy was issued for the consideration of the coun- cils of this local municipalities of the County of Iluron and is to be :consid- ered by the County Council at its next meeting to be held in June. A resolution was passed by the council expressing its sympathy to A. E. Fake, and wishing him .speedy recovery from th+e accident he .re- ceived last Monday morning. The following acoounts were or- dered paid :—Bell Telephone Co. 80c. ; Mrs. While scrubbing, $1.00: 8. San- ders, telegram, 5,5c.; 'Geo. Cugmore. snow -plowing, $2.00; Goo..Brooks bread for Itrimacombe, $1.00; Thos. Elliot, labor, 25c.; W. J. Bissett, salary for January $33; John Ford, salary for January $27; C. 11. Snell electric lighting for Jan. $94.50. In passing the account of Mr. Snell, a resolution was passed in- structing Mr. Snell, in future to pre- sent his bills for lighting in proper form, giving dates, and that the commissioner keep track of the same Mr. Colwell who had' .n horse killed at the station during n storm last summer was present to find out if the council intended :loins any- thing towards the payment for the loss of the animal. Mr. Snell said he would pay half if {lie town would assume n like proportion, claiming that the trees along the station street had in some manner interfered with the wires. Mr. Colwell stated that the horse belonged to his titer and that he had borrowed it. lle had seen his attorney': at (iodor- ich about the rnotter, and upon see- ing a copy of the contract 'between Mr. Snell and the corporation. ad- vised him to look to Mr. Snell for re-imburaernett.
