Tho speaker of the afternoon was Mis3 Fear, an honor graduate and ;old uncdalist in Dornestia Science at Whitby college, Mias Fear gave on excellent address which was highly appreciated by all. Hor subject was "8ewine and the In- valid's Tray". In the first part she endeavored to show the proper ane- thod of furnishing the dining [roam and tables for sewing ; also the way the formal and informal dinners should bo her red. Secondly, the In- valid's tray should be :served as daintily as possible with snow. white linen, rind idle finest of china. She also ,gavo a few suggestions for dainty dishes for :the Invalid. The programme was enlivened with solos given by Misses Beer, Snell and 'Tay- lor. Miss Etta McPherson save a splendid selection from "Hiawatha" and Alias Wood ,zave an instrumental all of which w"ei'e much appreciated. After a vote of thanks the meeting came to a close by singing God Save the Kole.
