It is im- purtant that every manufacturer should in the meantime prepare any data that he may wish to place be- fore the farif commission. There is reason to believe that the Govern- ment are disposed to enter upon this investigation with open minds, but the .manufacturers must be prepar- ed to show why they require increas- ed protection.
