Saturday In the person o: Henry Powell
at the agc of 87 years. . months and
19 days. Detth was caused by a gen-
eral breaking up of the system. du.
largely to his great age. Deceased had
been a great traveller In his day and
had lived In various parts of tho globe.
During the last few years he made hl"

and until just recently he had been able
to be about as usual, being at all tines
a person of Interest owing to his vener-
able appearance. The funeral took place
from his son's reslde,rce on Tuesday

The late Mr. Powtll was born o:/ lot 4,

23, 1823. He was married i:' 1849 to
Miss Catharine McCutehcoa, who prods

ceert. He was a loyal Canadian, a Con-
