Skating dollars
The Lake Smith Conservationists are pleased to donate $1000 to the Thedford Skating Club. These funds
will enable the skaters to help pay the start-up costs for the coming 2013-14 season of practices and
competitions. In September participants from Forest, Parkhill, Arkona, Grand Bend, Port Franks and areas In
between will gather at the Legacy Centre in order to register for the coming season.
TWo club coaches train skaters of all abilities from learn to skate classes to adults. Competing under the
auspices of Skate Canada, local skaters test their skills against skaters from the Bluewater Region which
stretches all the way to Windsor. For serious skaters, skates cost between $200 - $500.
