On June 25th, the Rotary Club of Grand
Bend had their end of fiscal year
meeting which about 50 members and
their partners attended. At the event,
the Presidency of the club was passed
from Craig Scott to Bruce Shaw, a well
known local volunteer.

Community Branding Survey
Tho County of Lambton is encouraging all Lambton residents to participate in the ongoing community branding
survey. A group of key local organizations is working to develop a community 'brand for marketing Lambton County
to visitors, residents and businesses. The group has worked with consultants North Star Destination Strategies to
develop a customized community -wide online survey that has boon carefully crafted to determine Lambton County's
strengths, weaknesses, challenges. and opportunities. You can participate by clicking on 'Bring Our Imago into
Focus' at www.lambtononlmo.ca. Hard copies of the survey are available by phoning the Sarnia-Lambton Economic
Partnership at 519-332.1820 or toll free at 1-800-972.7642. Surveys must bo comptetod and submitted by July 4.
Resolution on Adding Value to Energy Resources Widely Supported
A resolution urging federal commitment to energy value chain expansion gained overwhelming support by the
Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) at the group's recent Annual General Mooting in Vancouver, British
Columbia. The resolution encourages the Government of Canada to affirm a commitment to developing national
energy policies that support and expand the country's energy value chain. The resolution was brought forward by the
municipal partners of Alberta's Industrial Heartland Association and was seconded by representatives from the County
of Lambton. Tho resolution calls on the Government of Canada to work with industry and governments at all levels
in their efforts to enhance the energy value chain A collaborative approach will help address potential challenges.

Forest Ambulance Station
Tho County's Emergency Medical Services department continuos to irtvestigato options for the possible replacement of the existing Forest
EMS station. Increased repairs and maintenance to the facility as well as its functionality support a review. Tho proposed scope and scale of
the project is being reviewed. A staff report with recommendations is expected to go to County Council by the end of the year.
Long•Term Care Program Recognized
The County of lamblon's Long -Term Caro Division is being recognized for raising the awareness and visibility of Alzheimer Disease and
related dementias in the community. The County was presented with the Dorthoa Rivett Award at the Alzheimer Society of Sarnia•Lambton's
Annual General Meeting at Grace United Church in Sarnia on Juno 13 Tho award is presented annually.
Museums Strategic Pian
Tho County of Lambton will bo spending $.45,000 to support a Strategic Planning process for els museums (Lambton Heritage Museum, Oil
Museum of Canada, and Lambton County Archives). The museums have not undergone a Strategic Planning process in nearly 30 years. A
Strategic Plan is needed by October 31, 2013 for continued access to the province's Community Museums Operating Grant, which provides
$47.868 annually to Lambton Heritage Museum and $22.074 annually to the Oil Musouni of Canada.
Summer Reading Program
On your mark, got set...GO! This year's Summer Reading Program, for children up to age 12, is all about travel and encountering now
experiences, new tastes and now friends along the way. Places can bo near or far, from backyards to other worlds. by whatever moans
children can imagine. A reading passport will be available in July at local libraries for children to rocord their reading accomplishments
