Spring into summer fashion show May 9th
Huron Country Playhouse Guild
An unexpected snowy spring day
did not deter the members of the
Huron Country Playhouse Guild from
attending their monthly meeting at
Hessenland on Wednesday April 24.
Calendars and pens in hand they
were excited about signing up for
work on the various operational and
fundraising committees which con-
tribute to the Guild's longevity and
success.
President Doreen Chester opened
the meeting with the announcement
that the Guild, represented by imme-
diate past President Ann Robertson,
will receive the Ontario Volunteer
Service Award. Although the Award
only allows individuals to be nomi-
nated, Drayton Entertainment
intended that Ann be the figurehead
as the embodiment of the entire
Guild's work, in particular the most
recent completion of a $250,000.00
commitment to the Playhouse capital
campaign.
The information filled agenda con-
tinued with operational committee.
