REMINDER - NOTICE
MUNICIPALITY OF SOUTH HURON
2013 Wastewater Rate Increase
South Huron wastewater rates have increased effective the first billing period after January 1, 2013.
There are no changes to the Water Rates. This rate increase was recommended in the 2008 Water and
Wastewater Rate Study and re -confirmed in the recently completed review/update of that Rate Study.
Wastewater Consumptive Charge increases from 51.00/m3 to 51.16/m3
The water base charge, debt re -payment charge, water consumptive charge and the wastewater base
charge all remain unchanged. The wastewater flat rate charge will increase from $119.50 to $129.50 per
quarter, to reflect the increase in the consumptive charge assessed to all other customers.
This rate increase will apply to the first water/wastewater billing in 2013. Stephen customers will receive
their first quarterly water/wastewater billing in April 2013 (for January, February & March). Exeter
customers will receive their first quarterly water/wastewater billing in May 2013 (for February, March &
April).
